Best Indian food I've had outside of India. They're not afraid to make for spicy. I highly recommend lamb rogenjosh, get it mild if you want to experience all the wonderful spices.

Visited Little India for the first time tonight. This is a great hidden gem in glen burnie that we found through the reviews on yelp. Excellent service, even better food. Friendly, attentive waiters who are more than willing to explain the food and how it's served. Made wonderful recommendations. Definitely a must visit. We will be back very soon!

Saw the sign as I was headed south on Rt. 2 and I immediately did a U-turn and very glad I did. I played it safe and ordered Chicken Tikka Masala with garlic naan and it was truly very good. I ordered it medium spicy, but they gave me a little container of chilis to adjust as needed. I not only added some of that spice to my dinner, but added it to my spaghetti sauce the next day - so good! I was impressed by the friendliness of the manager/owner and the server who brought out my take-out order. Normally, I am greeted by stares and/or eyes averted and very little help with menu ordering and these gentlemen were the epitome of excellent customer service. That alone would bring me back if my first choice disappointed - which it did not! I am anxious to check out the lunch buffet which is offered 7 days a week. Give it a try - you will appreciate the warm friendliness of the staff!

Delicious. Best Indian restaurant in the area. I've tried both the lunch buffet and dinner. Staff is super nice and attentive. The lunch buffet is OK. There are other places with better buffets. Food was just a little bland. There weren't a lot of meat dishes which is fine with me since I'm a vegetarian. Dinner was delicious. Full of flavor and nice portion size. Overall, dinner is better than the buffet. Food is delicious and full of flavor.

My husband and I received a val-pak coupon for this place in the mail. I normally go through to find the next "gem" of a restaurant. Some places have been a complete flop. Others are just so-so. THIS place, however, not only met, but exceeded our expectations. I ordered the Chicken Tikka and my husband ordered the lamb vindaloo. We received the cracker-type bread for free, and ordered a side of naan (delicious). The chicken tikka was excellent. I've tried tikka before at Maiwand Kabob, and this place is just as good, if not better. I tasted some of my husband's lamb vindaloo and OMG, I wish I had ordered that too. Maybe next time! The thick, tomato-based sauce was spiced to perfection. Plus, the green sauce that they provide for free had some heat on it, but I was pleasantly surprised. Like others have said, the service is great. One of our servers was incredibly friendly, and had a nice little chat with us towards the end of our meal. He said the restaurant plans to add a bar in the coming weeks, and will add delivery service in the next 3-6 months. I wish we lived within a 5-mile radius. :( Even though this isn't around the corner for us, we will definitely be back. Everything here is so incredibly flavorful, and the spices really come through with every bite. I can't wait to come back and try the other menu options.

Some of the best Indian food I've eaten! Portions are generous, just the right amount of spice and friendly and attentive wait staff. Great chana masala, lamb vindaloo and saag paneer. Hot , warm garlic kulcha and naan. Also treat yourself to the kheer for dessert. The owner took the time to talk with us and let us know about the lunch buffet (lamb on the weekends). So happy there is a great Indian restaurant in our area. Please try this little gem. You will keep coming back again and again!

We were very pleasantly surprised by this place. Great ambiance, excellent food and very friendly and welcoming service. The food just right, fresh, very well cooked. The buffet it's a very good deal to try different plates and at a very good price too. Highly recommend this Indian little jewel.
(4)K S.
My boyfriend would eat here every night if I'd let him. I like it as well, the lunch buffet is the way to start. We are working our way through the menu now. The staff is great and always very attentive.
(4)Tutti S.
The food here is pretty good. I ordered my usual, chicken tikka masala, which was decent. My only suggestion is to say they should consider adding more cream to the sauce, because it was very 'tomatoy' tasting. Not to complain, but it could have had a bit more seasonings aslo, other than that, it was a satisfactory meal. On a positive note, the mint chutney was very fresh and very tasty, as was the mango lassi. Yummo! I will revisit to try other dishes.

How this place gets almost 5 stars this is crazy. Mediocre food nothing fancy typical Indian joint but to me worth absolutely 0 lamb meat had a very strong odor
(1)Anitha R.
Mediocre at best . I was visiting from Texas where we have a number of really good restaurants and the food here did not come close. How can you mess up tikka masala??? Plus they forgot to pack rice and if I had not ordered naan, I would have nothing to eat the curry with.
(2)Ebonee J.
So this was my introduction to Indian food therefore I have nothing to compare their food to, however I found the everything to be delicious. I really enjoyed the curry chicken and the samosa. They have a lunch buffet for a very reasonable price. I also want to point out that they have a lot of food options for vegetarians. I will definitely return to this eatery.
(4)Zadia H.
Love this place! I usually get carry out or delivery. I get the vegetarian sampler which isn't on the regular menu. The service is always pleasant, the wait time is reasonable and the food is always delicious.
(5)Dan S.
The best Indian food that I've had in the Baltimore metro area. The manager is extremely interactive and responsive to his guests. I really appreciated the amount of attention my table received. Everything was excellent, but I especially enjoyed the Lamb Roganjosh. Very subtle saffron flavor with a little bit of heat. I also appreciate what came complementary. Not all Indian restaurants will provide rice with your entree and dessert after the meal. I will be back again and again!!!! My new Bmore go to.
(5)Shelly A.
Our first time eating here and it was great. I stopped by after work to order carry out on a whim, and I was a little nervous because there was only one other customer in the restaurant at the time. But we were in the mood for Indian, so I decided to give it a try. The staff was extremely nice, they gave me a free appetizer to snack on while I waited for my order, and even offered a free drink. Despite ordering 3 main vegetarian dishes and a couple other things, my order was ready in 15 minutes. To top it off, they gave us free deserts on the house. Of course, the food was great too...not the best Indian I have had, but still good quality, freshly made and spicy!
(4)Carrie O.
4.5 stars, rounded up to a solid 5 for the quality of the food and definitely the prices. Hubs and I got stuck doing Christmas shopping on the last Saturday before the holiday - ugh, ugh, ugh. So we decided to console ourselves with a bit of Indian, and this place was the closest we could find. Little did we know that the food would be so damned good here. We did the lunch buffet for 10.95 each, and it was worth every penny. Both of us liked nearly everything on the buffet line, and there was actually a pretty decent selection available. We actually didn't really get to try everything, and I think that might have been a mistake on our parts, but... we'll run down what we did partake of: - Varied appetizers (pakora, samosa, etc.). Very good. Even though fried, they were not greasy or heavy in the least. - Rice. They had two kinds, plain basmati and a version with mixed veggies in it. We had the latter and it was to DIE for. Absolutely delicious. - The highlight of the meal was the kadhi pakora (in a spicy, tart curried yogurt sauce). Oh-em-effing-GEE. Seriously. I could have eaten that and just that for the entire meal. - The saag is THE BEST saag I have ever had, anywhere, at any Indian restaurant. That is the absolute truth. The saag was creamy without being overpowering. Delicious. - The naan is also up there with some of the best I've ever had. Light, buttery, melts in your mouth. Really, really good. - Tandoori chicken and chicken tikki masala, pretty good but I've had better elsewhere. - Egg curry. That was a big surprise for me - hard boiled egg whites steeped in curry sauce. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, actually. - Gulab jamun. The BEST I have had anywhere. And that includes the fancy places like Royal Taj. Seriously. This place has that DOWN. - Kheer. Pretty good, though I think it could have used some nuts or raisins to liven it up. Still, not at all bad and I'd definitely partake of more of that. Complimentary chai tea, which was delicious. We didn't get to try the mulligatawny soup, but that's next. Service is top notch and we were attended to with the utmost in politeness and appreciation. Decor is a bit lacking, but who cares when you have food like this? I told my husband that if I could get tandoori chicken from Akbar, tikka masala from Cafe Spice, kheer from Royal Taj and the saag from this place, I'd be in Indian food nirvana. As it is, I may actually come here a bit more often, as it's a bit cheaper than Royal Taj and the food is equally as good. Definitely come here and try it. It'll be worth your while.
(5)Jonathan T.
I've been here twice with a larger group and sampled quite a few of the dishes. Overall, the food is somewhere between decent and good. The seasoning is not as intense as I would expect, with a couple dishes even tasting bland, but there is sufficient menu to avoid those that don't meet my particular tastes. The staff is quite friendly, with the manager coming by to entertain us with limited conversation. The only reason I'll probably come back is that I don't feel like driving to Columbia occasionally, where there are several restaurants that I prefer over this one.
(3)Jayme D.
I am new to the area and my first visit was last Thursday. We ordered veggie samosas, chicken tikka marsala, chicken vindaloo and chicken saag. Each dish was awesome! Each tasting exactly as it should. My only regret was wishing the portion size was bigger. I guest I'll have to go to the buffet instead of take out for that. The bonus is that the owner is very friendly and hospitable. Little India Cafe is my new favor restaurant!!
(5)Dani S.
I couldn't disagree more with some of these reviews. The food was super salty it lacked the "Indian" spices that I was looking forward to. I've had much better Indian food. Today was my first time here and it will be my last time. I was not impressed at all.

Greetings, fellow "Yelper" If you are in the neighborhood at lunch time any day of the week and are looking for Indian food, Stop what you are doing and hit the 'directions' button as you've found what you are looking for. $11 on the weekend and $9 during the week for REAL food! I can't tell you how wonderful this place is because we only have one word for YUM. We are fairly new to Indian food, so we were happy to see the buffet to get a little bite of everything to see what it is we like. While EVERYTHING in the buffet was good, there were two standouts. The Chicken Curry and the Vegetable Korma. Vegetable Korma + Tandoori Na'an' = Nirvana in your mouth. This is "close your eyes as they roll back into your head' good because you don't want having to look at things distract you from the deliciousness, oh stop talking dear husband as I want to just switch my brain to taste mode. This is, "I need to take another bite to see if it matches the echo of deliciousness that is lingering in my mouth. I wished my vegetarian friend lived here so I could take her. I personally loooved the Gulab Jamun dessert -- like little pancake balls in honey & rosewater syrup. I should have eaten 2. I had EIGHT. My husband says that I liked them so much because I drown my french toast in syrup and he's probably right. They're really sweet. The Samosas were sitting in the buffet line and they were very good. I can't imagine how delicious they would be straight from the kitchen fresh and hot. I have no idea (yet) how the non-buffet dinner is, but I can't wait to find out! Ok, so I've probably talked it up too much and elevated your expectations. Please just go here and decide for yourself. We live in the Franconia area and found ourselves here and hungry for lunch on a Sunday. I liked it so much, I'd consider making the drive on the weekend just for lunch. Ain't no food in the world good enough for me to want to drive that far in rush hour, but I'd think about it.

My guy loves Indian food, so we order from this place a lot! We've tried several places in town (Baltimore and the surrounding 'burbs) and haven't found anything as good as Little India. They deliver, so we usually order in, and the food quality is still that of a fine dining experience. The food is excellent and the customer service is amazing!
(5)Tejas P.
Amazing indian food. This is my first time here and i loved saag paneer.... delicious punjabi food and great service. On top of that complimentary sweet.... can't wait to come back to maryland again.
(5)John G.
We ate here earlier today while visiting friends in Glen Burnie and were amazed at the quality of the food. Everything was absolutely delicious, the staff of as attentive and answered questions since it had been years since I had been to an authentic Indian restaurant. I highly recommend it and wish we lived closer!
(5)Robin R.
Yummskies ;) We ordered the Tandoori Platter (large size), Vegetable Samosa (2 to an order large size), Keema Naan (lamb). That was a good amount of food because both the Tandoori Platter and the Vegetable Samosa were a large portion. Our server made a point to ask how much heat we wanted and we went with medium after all....our medium could be their hot. It was just right!! We finished with Masala Tea and Kulfi (ice cream) and the server gave us an order of Gulab Jamun to sample. Lamb Vindaloo and Onion Kulcha (naan) to go, for the kiddo at home. Everything was tasty and made to order on the *heat*, service was friendly, restaurant was clean and tables pre-set which gave the dining room a finished look. Full Bar *grin* Go...Go...Go...treat yourself to something different and yummy good. The only thing that is keeping me from giving 5 stars is the fact I should try more of the dishes before making that claim.
(4)James C.
I ordered carryout, got the butter chicken and garlic naan. It was very very good, I will be visiting again
(4)Chris G.
Everything was good and was what i've expected. I got the chicken vindaloo, naan and basmati rice. Everything was great. I came in during lunch time so i got my items from the lunch buffet. Will definitely be back.
(5)Rebecca D.
SUPER friendly service, most delicious butter chicken I've ever had!
(5)William C.
Salty Errr-thang. The naan was salty. The spinach was salty. The curry chicken was salty. The lentil soup was salty. The tandoori chicken was a bit dry (maybe from too much salt? I kid.) The good - The chicken tikki masala was good. The basmati rice was cooked well. But goodness, ease up on the salt For a 10$ buffet lunch, this was a pretty good deal, especially when i was on a short lunch break. However, i felt the items fell short of what could have been an excellent meal.
(3)Doug B.
After traveling 30 minutes+ any time we wanted Indian, we were super excited when we saw this place opening last year.. we just hoped it was at least decent. I was wrong, it's FANTASTIC. Seriously, this is some of the best Indian I've had throughout the area (and other states)! LOTS of vegetarian/vegan options. Lunch buffet on weekdays is the way to go. Anytime I come across a buffet with samosas and veggie pakora, I know I'm in for a treat. We eat here regularly and are NEVER disappointed!
(5)Christine D.
Best food in glen Burnie . Found this great little place by accident and will always refer this restaurant to everyone. Goat hurry on the buffet on weekends is the best .
(5)Steve G.
WOW.... A friend of mine told me to try this little cafe.....Oh Boy, am I glad i did. The super friendly staff, the attention of the servers, the host, everyone was smiling and super helpful. The decor is rather simple, but clean. THE FOOD??? WOW....we did the buffet and it was simply superb.... II could go on and on but you just got to go and see for yourself.... Needless to say, I will go there often. What a find!
(5)Gary P.
5 stars, really? Now considering the food options in glen Burnie this place is quite a gem but 5 stars should be saved for only the best of the best. Little India resides in a mini mall across from the chuck easy cheese. We stopped in for the lunch buffet during the week. There were about ten choices to pick from but I thought the food was quite simple. The flavors were good but just not that impressive. I was however impressed by the masala chai tea, that was pretty good. So if you're craving Indian and don't want to drive to columbia I would say give this place a try. The staff is very nice and the food isn't bad. I give it 3.5 stars.
(3)Steve W.
Outstanding food with great selection! Service and presentation of food exceeded expectations. Strange location (in strip mall), but plenty of parking.
(5)Kevan S.
Another Yelp goldmine. Best Indian food I can remember. Three-dimensional flavor. The buffet is outstanding and the staff friendly. I've been a few times and have never been disappointed. Most recently when I visited, the buffet foods seemed to have somewhat similar flavors save a few items. Even that was better than the others I've tried in the Baltimore/Washington area. Though it is a little small, I've never had to wait for a table, so if that changes, I hope they expand.
(5)Brian B.
This is our favorite Indian restaurant in the area! My wife likes her food mild and I like mine "Indian Hot" ... they will fix your dish up the way you like it!
(5)I C.
GREAT service, DELICIOUS food; even my 'ethnic food' hating, curry despising husband agreed that the chicken masala was absolutely amazing. My daughter loved the mango drink that they had. It was so good, that my husband, who detests mangoes, said the drink was delightful. We came in right when it opened for lunch on Saturday, they have such wonderful hospitality because they let us in to sit before they even really opened. We only came in for the buffet, but was very pleased at their prices, especially their children's rates. Will definitely be back for more! Thanks Little India Cafe!
(5)Gunnar V.
Let me supply a quick synopsis: service is super-great and the food is pretty good but different. So, we went on a night that was not busy because we have a 18 month old and if he decides to be a brat, we prefer he does it around as few people as possible. The waiter was expert with the little guy. He brought him a mini mango lassi (which he devoured) and was all around entertaining to him all while we were there, plus attentive to us. As for the food, the chicken tikka masala was a little strong on the tomato. A little overpowering, actually, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I wish I could give 4.5 stars, as the service was really stellar. Prices are about what you'd expect at an Indian restaurant.
(4)Michael F.
This place is awesome. I have been a regular customer since they opened and I am so happy that they came to Glen Burnie. I'm a huge fan of their vindaloo and curries and the naan is awesome. But best of all their service and desire to keep customers happy is amazing. It isnt often where I've been to restaraunts where the owners and family members ask you the impression of the foods. In speaking with them, they have been in this industry for a long time and they certainly know what they are doing. I have been here for both lunch buffet and dinner and I've enjoyed every experience. I really think that this place has the best of everything. To compliment, they recently added a full bar as well with happy hour services. I will continue coming here and I will highly recommend that anyone visit. You will not be let down.
(5)Martha P.
Excellent food and service. It was a fantastic experience. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs and wants and the food meet all the expectations. We meet up with a friend from out of town and stayed at our table for 2 hours after we were done eating. Our waiter was wonderful to keep our water glasses full while we continued talking. He encouraged us to stay as long as we liked and didn't try to rush us out which was great.
(5)Lia D.
I usually call yelp's bluff when I see ALL 5 stars, but it's true. The flavors here are excellent and the service is wonderful as well. I rarely see vegetable thali on the menu at other places but they had it here and every single little cup had so much flavor. Aloo gobi, chana masala, dal, aloo gobi, saag, raita, rice pudding. Served with roti and all excellent. My husband got shrimp vindaloo again and he said it was excellent. Near my work so we will go to the lunch buffet sometime soon.
(5)PandaLoo T.
Just wonderful. In the words of this guy sitting at the next table, "I wish every time eating here was my first time." We got the lamb samosas, chana masala, chicken xacutti (sp?), naan, and a chai tea. Everything was stupendous. To top it all off, the service was really great. They gave us extra rice with our leftovers and boxed it for us (love when restaurants do that!) and then gave us a complimentary dessert. Good prices. Great all around. Our new Indian place for sure, and snagged a to-go menu too for when we're feeling lazy!
(5)Bsizzle S.
Food is great Service is phenomenal (put up with many questions, recommend things, and are good with kids) Location convenient, good parking Prices are great NO CONS
(5)Lee M.
Oh my goodness..the food here is soooo delicious! I was out running errands and didn't want to sit down and eat at the time, so they allowed me to have the buffet 'to go' . I filled a carry out box with a sampling of everything on the buffet and ate it later at home. The food was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned...nothing too spicy hot. They also gave me some naan 'to go'...which was a nice touch. Am looking forward to returning for a nice sit down lunch soon. Do yourself a favor and try this place! Even if you're just in the neighborhood for something else...and don't have time to sit and eat right then, go ahead and get the buffet 'to go' to eat at a later time. The food is that good - really!
(5)Shelly K.
We had intended to go to the pizza place next door but we're surprised to see an Indian restaurant. I went in to check it out and then came to bribe the kids to do Indian instead of pizza! We all had the reasonable prices buffet and the kids got a complimentary mango drink. Everything was delicious, service was friendly, and our waters were filled quickly! After we finished, my kids said "I'm glad we went here instead of pizza!" I can't think of a bigger compliment!
(5)Irem C.
Absolutely delish! Great service! They have a great lunch buffet too! They have the best Chicken Korma I've had in a long time. It's great to have Indian in Glen Burnie finally! They are also very friendly and have great service as well. The shopping plaza they are in isn't the greatest but the food makes up for it! The tikka masala is so good I could drink the sauce. The biggest bonus is that most days they will deliver to our office! I grew up with Indian best friends so I know my Indian food and have probably tried almost all within a 60 mile radius of my home. This place does not disappoint as far as food and service. Mmmmmmmmmmm
(5)Kelly S.
I been here a few times, and Little India Cafe is amazing! Today I took my family there, and again just like every time before they are outstanding. Great service, friendly atmosphere and delicious food. Little India Cafe has been consistently wonderful since they opened, which is difficult for any business to achieve and they nailed it!!! If you never tried Indian you are missing out, and if you go here you will not be disappointed!
(5)Edward W.
Best Indian food in maryland. Great prices. The bar has many options. Great for lunch or a dinner date.
(5)Michael C.
Great buffet. Kadai pander was delicious. Samosas and naan really hit the spot. Good uses of spice!
(4)Ash E.
Wonderful delicious food at a very reasonable price. Great portion sizes and the wait staff could not be friendlier or more hard working. We had a wonderful dining experience here and will definitely be back!
(5)Nicole F.
OMG! FINALLY!! Do you know how long I've waited since moving from NYC/NJ to find a decent Indian food place?!! Let's just say... A LONG TIME. This is the best Indian food I've had in a long time. Maybe ever at a restaurant. It's flavorful and they know just the right amount of spice. None of this "oh you're a white person so you're definition of spicy is different then mine. I'll do my best to not kill your face." NOPE! They ask you honestly how you would like your spice. And It's perfect! I swear they have my best friends dadi back there making the food it was so freaking good. Also, I can't say enough good things about the service. 5 star!! If you've never had Indian food and feel uncomfortable about ordering something, just ask them! I am sure they'll come up with the perfect meal for you. You don't get service like this anymore. They come back and check on you! They refill your water! It's really mind blowing. This place isn't close to my house but when I have a free weekend, this is the first place we head out too eat. Please eat here! Bring your friends. Tip generously.
(5)Sarah M.
My sister and I have been here twice now and have not been disappointed in the slightest either time. The service is excellent: all of the staff is friendly and efficient. As soon as you need something, you have it. Both times we have come for the lunch buffet, and the food is to die for. I'm horrible with names to Indian food, so forgive my ignorance on what dishes I had exactly, but I tried almost everything both times and nothing disappointed. There are so many different flavors and everything seems to be prepared with fresh meat & veggies. You HAVE to get the naan. It's complimentary and they make it to order, so it comes out hot and buttery to your table and so yummy. Would come here just for the naan with some mint chutney. We will be back again and again, and I highly recommend you try it out as well!
(5)Ameen B.
The lunch buffet is great, the chai is awesome and the gulab Jamun and kheer is delicious, I usually go there with cowerkers who are not regular Indian food eaters and they love it as well. Much needed in glen Burnie
(5)Joseph S.
Good experience here with the lunch buffet. Pros: Good variety of food that was prepared well and tasted good. The highlight was the Naan bread that the wait staff kept bringing to the table whenever we asked for it. Drink service was good and we never had to wait for refills. Cons: Mostly vegetable entrees, only two chicken dishes for meat. Food could be slightly spicier or more seasoned. Overall a great lunch and one of the best options for Indian food in the Glen Burnie area, but not as good as some of the other restaurants in Hanover or Columbia.
(3)Chrissy H.
I saw this place pop up on Yelp (which I frequent probably more than I should). It had 5 star reviews and was on my way home from work, so I decided to order carryout. The moment you walk in, it is a nice atmosphere and everyone working there has smiles and they are really friendly. I sat there while my order was being made and they were like this to everyone who walked in the door. I ordered Tikka Masala and garlic kalucha and samosa's for my husband. Everything was absolutely delicious. They even have little sides of spices if I wanted to make it spicier when I got home, but it was actually perfect the way they made it. I couldn't ask for better service, friendliness or food! They had it all. I can't wait to go back for the buffet. I have been waiting for an Indian restaurant in Glen Burnie and these guys are awesome.
(5)Terri P.
We've been waiting for this place to open, as Indian food is one of our favs and we always wish there were more yummy ethnic restaurants in the area. Went in this afternoon for the weekend lunch buffet and could not have been happier with our experience! The place is really nice inside, and the staff were very welcoming AND kid-friendly. Our kids are little (3 & 5) and they were given complimentary mango lassis and the server switched their glasses out with styrofoam straw cups right away. Most importantly, they didn't act at all like it was an inconvenience to have two little ones in their restaurant -- always a plus! All kid-friendliness aside -- the food is amazing! We've been big fans lately of Kumari in Locust Point and Bay Leaf in Linthicum and I'd say this place is even better! The buffet was stocked with anything you could possibly want to try -- samosas, paneer, lamb & chicken dishes, vegetarian dishes. They even offered us a dish of spices in case we wanted to make the food hotter. We talked at length with our server - who was possibly the manager or owner - who said they are really trying to reach out to the Glen Burnie area...offering buffet hours so people can try different entrees, cooking entrees to order as far as spice level, etc. They really seem to care -- and we really hope they do well in the area! Our favorite items we sampled on the buffet? The Mattar Paneer (chickpeas w/ homemade cheese) and the Kadhi Pakora (curry w/ fried vegetable pakora & spices) were amazing vegetarian dishes. My husband loved the Lamb Rogan Josh. Oh, and I can't say enough about the Saag (spinach curry) -- yum! If you're new to Indian food, the buffet is a great place to sample new dishes. If you're a lover of Indian like us -- I'd suggest heading in for dinner and allowing them to cater to your preferences for spice, flavors, etc Either way -- go!!!

Lunch buffet was really tasty. Mulgatawny soup fantastic. Naan was hit and delicious. Must try tandoori chicken and iced tea. ! Great service. So glad to have a good local Indian restaurant in the vicinity!

We were so excited to try a new Indian restaurant and it was everything and more that we could have wanted! From the minute we got there, the warm welcome and attention we received was only the beginning of a great experience. The staff was friendly and our food was amazing! Very authentic dishes and not a bit overdone. Lamb was succulent and delicious! Naan was delicious as well. Highly recommend trying his place!

On two occasions we've visited the little India Café to find a charming and helpful staff, and food that is simply delicious. If you've never had Indian food, or have and didn't care for it the first time around give this place a try. The Dal Crackers and Dipping Sauces (Chutney) they start you off with is delightful and we've added as a side Tandoori Naan Bread. Once you've been you'll understand why nearly every review gives them high marks. It is guaranteed to become a favorite when you're in the area.

This place is tucked in Glen Burnie where the battery warehouse use to be in the little plaza off ordnance road, the lamb curry I always get when me and my wife just drive around and look for places we've never ate and just try. It's a good and quite atmosphere and very friendly family own restaurant and they DELIVER also!!
(5)Manuel D.
i travel for work. my mother in law has a coworker who is indian and sends food home with her, which i promptly taste, and i tell you! this place is spot on i got the chicken xulluta (roasted coconut masala).... holy cow(pun intended) i have never before in my life ever thought of roasting coconut. this was a superb meal.
(5)Vanessa P.
My husband and I just had dinner here. We absolutely loved it. Great price and amazing food. I'm pretty picky about my chicken and it was very tender. We got the Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan. And to drink we had Mango Lassi. The service was great as well. I highly recommend.
(5)Otis W.
The food is great! Really pleased two times. What gets them over is the service.
(5)Tina C.
Great food. Great service. I love going for the buffet because everything is wonderful. They sincerely want feedback so they can be the best they can be. I'm so glad we discovered them.
(5)Nancy R.
Still fantastic after returning for more delicious Indian cuisine months after my first visit. I make it a practice to try as many different dishes from this restaurant and they have never failed to wow me. In a way, I am happy they do not deliver as I would be apt to order weekly.
(5)Kelsey S.
Great food, great people and excellent service. It's an unassuming little restaurant in a strip mall, but well worth your time and effort. A hidden gem for sure.
(5)Aaron A.
This place is everything the other posts say and more. Friendly people and awesome food! They even cooked a few dishes for us that weren't on the dinner menu on my request like chicken 65 which was fantastic. I just went with spicy and not "indian" spicy which still caused a good sweat much to the amusement of my friends but it was a good spice flavor kind of heat not just a burn. The naan was some of the best I've had. Can't wait to try the lunch buffet. Definitely a must visit for indian food!

I passed by the Little India Cafe about a week before they were to open and my mouth began to water at the thought of some good Indian food. A few weeks later I was driving in the area after a long trip home from working in DC and remembered the restaurant. I checked on yelp while at a red light and to my delight I saw they were open and had a positive review. I couldn't resist the chance to at least get some take out. The location is prime and easy to get to from 695 to Richie highway or from RT 10 to ordnance. The decor was cozy when I walked in and the aroma made me even more hungry. The place was empty but I'm sure it was only because they haven't had time to advertise locally yet. The owner and two staff members gave me a huge friendly welcome and took some time to have a conversation with me instead of just taking my order and leaving me to wait alone. I appreciate that level of service and I think it's a great sign of a place looking to build its customer base. I decided to order my old favorite chicken tiki masala and a side of Nan bread. Reasonably priced. The order was ready quickly and the food looked great. Once home I dug in. The portion was big enough to fill me and left enough for later. The sauce was thick and tasted perfect. I could have done with more heat but I did order it at medium, so if you like it hot like I do, then don't worry about over-doing it and just get ask for hot. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the rice had a nice bite though it wasn't as flavorful as other rice I've tried but honestly the sauce more than made up for it. All in all I love everything about the experience. My main problem is I wish I worked locally to check out their lunch buffet and try a few new tasty dishes. Oh well. More for you guys. The Little India Cafe fills a niche that has been empty in the Glen Burnie area for a long, long time. If you're local, it's well worth visiting. I personally can't wait to go back. Enjoy.
(5)Andrew N.
Loaded up yelp to find something for lunch. We have been to several Indian restaurants in the Baltimore area. This has easily rocketed to the top of our list as our favorite Indian restaurant. We will definitely be coming back.
(5)Krystle F.
Great service and food was really good! it is great because u choose your spice level so everyone can eat it. we like it medium it has just enough kick to make it taste perfect!
(5)Jeannette M.
Stopped in while on our way to BWI - did a quick yelp find since we're not from the area and definitely found a nugget! In a strip mall or not, this place was absolutely DELISH. Service was bar none, white table cloths were a very nice touch. Well done Little India Cafe! (The crowd cheers!!!)
(5)Leslie J.
Kulcha like no other!! Found this little gem via Yelp (thanks) and am so glad we did. The service and staff was great; so friendly and cheerful. The Tandori app was a good intro to what to expect; delightful. Both meals were great -chicken saag &lamb roganjosh and a sweet surprise to end.
(4)Ashley A.
DELICIOUS food, EXCELLENT service and a real treat in Glen Burnie. Their food is always fresh and they have a full bar! My kids love this place as do I!!! I look forward to going their at least once a week :)
(5)Sara G.
Best Indian food I've had so far! Management was very friendly and the service was great! Had no idea they were a brand new restaurant! Definitely will recommend to all of my friends! Great to have some delicious Indian food in the Glen Burnie area finally! We tried multiple naans, two different spice levels of chicken tikka masala (medium was perfect!), and a dessert.
(5)Valerie S.
We were driving by and this place caught my eye. Immediately did a u turn and had to see if it was any good! Upon entering the staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The decoration was very nice with fresh flowers in beautiful vases at each table. A nice change for a restaurant in Glen burnie. I ordered Lamb Xacutti and my boyfriend ordered Lamb Vindaloo. Both dishes have now set the bar for amazing Indian food. The lamb was tender and delicious. The herbs and spices in each dish were dancing on our tongues. After our meals we are asked if we wanted dessert and was told it was on the house. We were served rice pudding with sliced almonds and mango ice cream. BEST RICE PUDDING EVER! I think I almost died after trying that mango ice cream. Why are you still reading this? Go now! We can't wait to go back and try the lunch buffet.
(5)monica k.
Randomly stopped by and got Chicken Vindaloo, garlic naan, and the potato stuffed yummy naan for takeout. The vindaloo was amazingly spiced and the chicken was extremely tender. Best chicken vindaloo I've had. My husband liked the naan and it was gigantic! Portion sizes are very reasonable as well as the prices. Free dessert was thrown in as well as a 20% discount :) the owner was very kind and went out of his way to converse and be welcoming, giving me a glass of water as I waited. You won't b disappointed if you come here, please give it a try and do ur tummy a favor.
(5)Laura R.
Awesome good. Great, friendly staff. Can't wait to go back. Be forewarned - hot/spicy is definitely hot and spicy - the way it should be.
(5)Ronjour L.
I was waiting for an Indian restaurant in my area. The service is friendly, and the portions were excellent. I haven't tried the lunch buffet yet, but I heard that it is good as well.
(5)Sam B.
Just went to the lunch Buffett. Great value for the $ and the food was great. I saw it on the way to Costco and decided to check it out-I was hungry and this place hit the spot! It's casual so don't expect anything fancy. The staff are friendly and very hospitable. I'm Indian and I do think the food was yummy! Don't forget to wash it all down with an authentic Masala Hot tea :-)
(5)Ken K.
I first ate here for lunch and enjoyed their buffet. It is a terrific value. Tonight I brought my wife for dinner. The food was excellent. The dinner is not a buffet and therefore individually prepared, which by its nature is fresher. The staff really want to please and they did!
(5)Shannon C.
This place was delicious. I came with five people and everyone really enjoyed their food. I had the Chicken Korma which was really great. It was sweet and savory. My hubbs got Chicken Tikka Marsala which was also great, and the right amount of spicy. The waiters were on top of things as far as service which was great. It never felt like we were waiting long for anything. I would definitely come back, great place.
(5)Matthew S.
Phenomenal food and Fantastic service! We eat with them regularly and we are never disappointed! Give them a try ASAP. You won't regret it!
(5)Food L.
This is definitely a hidden gem. The Chicken Vindaloo and Goat Curry were AWESOME!!! I don't want to be crass and compare restaurants, so I'll only say this....this is now my favorite for taming my craving for Indian. The $10 price for a buffet isn't bad either! Will definitely go back soon!
(5)Prateek K.
Food is delicious. Naan bread was really good..desert is tasty.. I recommend this place!
(4)Alyssa M.
I ordered the chicken Tikka masala. Moving here from a state that had a large Indian population, I was super spoiled for delicious Indian food. This place did not deliver. The masala did not have enough spices nor did it have enough milk/cream. The masala was very tomato-y tasting... def needed to be toned down and more creamy to be authentic masala. Also had a mango lassi... that was yummy. The naan... plain naan. Good consistency. Have I had better naan? Yes. Will I be back here? Probably not. I'll continue my search for creamy masala. Staff wasn't overly friendly (weren't rude either) so it didn't make me want to return. When ur food is mediocre and the staff isn't super welcoming... then it leaves me not wanting to return.
(3)Heather P.
This is one of my favorite restaurants to come to. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The staff are welcoming and sociable. I have yet to order something from Little India Cafe that I haven't enjoyed. Last night we enjoyed Samosas, Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Vindaloo. Everything was absolutely delicious!
(5)Ipicsfree D.
We went on a Saturday night and it was kinda quite as it was around 9:30. The quality of the food was good and chicken Xacutti was awesome. This dish isn't to be found on any other Indian restaurants. If you eat chicken and want to try new Indian dish, make it this one. I had a Indian Summer cocktail and surprisingly, it was refreshing. Usually, Indian restaurants can't make a good cocktail. Overall, my wife and I are satisfied with our experience. I would've made this my local Indian restaurant, but it's a little too far for us. They also do takeouts and deliveries.
(5)Andrew H.
Awesome! Visit Baltimore regularly and we always stop here. Service and food excellent. Strongly recommend!!
(5)Tim W.
Stopped in for a quick lunch between sales call's, based purely on the reviews here. Great service, great selection and great price. However, everything I ate needed more seasoning. I am a huge Indian fan ( l'm an Englishman and we have one on every corner) and it was not great. I understand that it was a weekday lunch buffet, but it really didn't have that Indian taste that I love so much. Maybe next time I will order from the menu. I'm not giving up on them yet.....
(3)Sharon's H.
My husband and I love this place!! We have been looking for an Indian restaurant and then this place opened up right around the corner. We went the second after they have opened and have been back 4 times since then. We even brought our friends and their two kids. The kids loved the mango lassi!! The owner and servers are very nice and accommodating. We definitely would recommend this place their food is delicious!!!!
(5)K V.
I stopped by for the lunch buffet earlier this week...this place is a little gem! The food was tasty and the staff was very warm and welcoming. I will be back soon!
(4)Russ H.
Great food. The staff will teach you as much or as little as you want concerning the cuisine. I did not have one thing on the buffet that I did not love.
(5)Brian B.
This will be brief since I agree with all of the positive reviews. I am a fan of Little India Cafe. Ravi (sp?) was a great host. I tried the lunch buffet and it was wonderful. Great job, excellent food, great service, keep up the hard work. Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year.
(5)Yhg H.
They really want to be successful, so they are very attentive. We love Indian food (I will cook it myself on occasion), and we wanted this place to be great. It's unfortunately just okay, although the service goes a _long_ way to make up for the food's shortcomings. For that reason alone we'll be back, but for the lunch buffet, not dinner. They start everyone off with an assortment of chutneys and papadum. The mint chutney was great, very spicy, but the tamarind tasted very much like a jarred barbecue sauce. They do a great job with the bread (we got an assortment - it was all good), but they missed the mark on the fried appetizers - they were too greasy and tasted frozen not fresh. The Chicken Vindaloo was good, but the Malai Kofta's sauce was slightly curdled, not well-spiced and the vegetarian balls were raw in the center. The flavor of the balls was good, but the raw texture was off-putting. The Yellow Dal was thin and a little bland. The rice was cooked very well, but garnished with burned to near-ash onions. The restaurant manager was very attentive - he noticed we didn't eat much of the Dal, so he insisted on giving us a round of free dessert. We tried to decline because we hadn't complained and we did eat most of the food. We tried Indian-style mango ice cream and rice pudding. The flavors were quite good in both, but the textures were not great. My sincere hope is that given how determined they are to provide a great experience the food will improve. We'll try again for sure.

really great food, very nice inside. if you are new to Indian food no worries. the staff is very helpful.
(5)Denise G.
Best Indian in the Baltimore area, hands down. I've been to Darbar, I've been to Akbar, and they really don't compare. The sauces are so flavorful, the chicken is so tender and juicy, and the gulab jamun is divine. Go! Go now!
(5)Brooke C.
After weighing it back and forth, my friend and I decided to stop in and satisfy our craving for Indian. This place more than exceeded our expectations. The prices were very reasonable, the food was delicious and the service was top notch. We started with paneer pakoras, which came with individual chutneys. We appreciated having single serve chutneys rather than the larger dishes that usually just live on the table. The paneer was nice and soft inside, with a good balance of flavors to get our appetites going for the wonderful meal ahead. I got the Chicken Makhani, after the manager/owner recommended it, and my friend got the Chicken Curry. I saw plenty of other dishes I wanted to try, but we both decided to stick with basics on our first venture out. The chicken was flavorful, tender, and the medium was perfectly spiced without being overwhelming. I could taste the other flavors in the food without my head exploding. I also got some pickle with my meal, and it was the perfect balance between the rice, the naan and the chicken. My friend loved her curry, and I thought it was quite delicious. We were both stuffed after our meals, but the waiter delivered gulab jamun, and it was honestly the best I've ever had. It was served warm, was nice and soft inside with the right balance of sweetness. The service was also quite attentive. When I decided to box up my leftovers the waiter came back with a box that had fresh rice ready to go. His attention to detail and the quality of the food means that this is a place I will visit again and again. I can't wait to try the buffet!

I am so lucky to have this nice injection of Indian cuisine in Glen Burnie where cookie cutter restaurants are plentiful. This place was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend their lunch buffet if you are unfamiliar with Indian food so you can try everything! I think it was about $12 for adults and half price for kids. A great deal for the price. It's a white tablecloth silverware kind of place so don't be too bummy. I loved the unlimited amount of naan bread you can have and their service was great as well.
(5)Jarrod F.
This place is definitely a step above your standard Indian fare... We started with the meat samosas, which were AWESOME... crisp pockets filled with lamb, peas, potatoes and seasonings... one of the best samosas I ever had. Not greasy. For dinner we ordered the mixed grill, which was just OK... I've had better. However, the chicken saag was very good. The spinach was just the right consistency and there was plenty of white meat chicken to fill a a grown man's stomach. The rice was flavorful and the vegetable of the day, which tasted something akin to a korma, was very good as well. The garlic naan was over the top delicious. All in all, besides the mixed grill, this was a great Indian dinner. I can't quite give Little India five stars because I found the decor a bit lacking. The place seemed clean but there was definitely a nice layer of dust on our booths. The waiter was attentive and friendly although a bit of a character. The owner was on top of everything though, which is always a good sign that someone cares about the quality and consistency of the dining experience. Definitely exciting to have another great Indian restaurant nearby!
(4)Antoinette P.
I just love this place!!! Order delivery at least once a week. It's family owned and very very friendly. The food is best in the glen burnie area. The ginger sweet tea is to die for. The buffet is clean and always hot.
(5)Christine C.
I'm so glad this place is close to my house. The food is wonderful, and the staff is always so nice and accommodating. They remember us when we come in and I love that! I typically get the lamb korma, but the last time I decided to try something new. It was an eggplant dish (can't remember the name), it was good, but very spicy. I had asked for mild but my husband and I just switched our meal. And his was very good. When the waiter (I think the owner) saw that we had switched he inquired and I just told him it was a bit too spicy for me. He was genuinely concerned and immediately sent over a keer on the house. I told him he didn't have to, that it wasn't an issue (I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to spice). But he insisted. We haven't yet been for the buffet, but I'm looking forward to it. I truly wish them prosperity and hope their business does well.
(5)Dale B.
I'm just going to echo all the other reviews and say that THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! BEST INDIAN FOOD IN MARYLAND!!! I have eaten my fair share of Indian food and I can say that this place offers a flavor experience unique to itself. They offer naan bread fresh out of the tandoor oven, can't beat that. So far we've tried the Kashmiri naan (stuffed with nuts and raisins) and the keema naan (stuffed with chicken or lamb), both excellent. The chicken and lamb dishes are to die for. There are other great Indian restaurants but this place is second to none as far as Maryland is concerned.
(5)Anne K.
So my husband and I just finished the lunch buffet. A GREAT variety and wonderful flavor, but I'm not sure I care for a lot of the textures... Having never had Indian food before, it caught me off guard. The waitstaff was quite polite and kept the drinks full. And the naan was DELICIOUS!!!
(4)Caitlin P.
This place is great!! Don't let the zip code turn you away, because it's probably the only decent place to eat in Glen Burnie. I used to drive to Hanover's Rangoli (also very good), but I'm really happy with India Cafe. I've gotten take out 4 times in the last 5 weeks!! Normally, the bf and I order a lamb tandoor dish, chicken makhani or tikka masala, and chana masala. And naan of course. They will ask if you want mild, medium, or spicy. Spicy is VERY spicy, so be warned. The place itself is a little odd for a sit down restaurant; it's just a big room... but I guess it doesn't really matter. Take out is always ready right on time and steaming hot. Best of all, everyone who works here is so friendly! I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Indian food.
(5)Daria P.
Best Indian food that I have had in a long time. Naan bread is free. Lunch is served buffet style, including chai tea. We have never had a bad meal here. One of my favorite places!
(5)Danica C.
Oh man, IT WAS AWESOME! I'm all about trying new kinds of food and today I wanted authentic Indian! They have regular dining menu, as well as lunch buffet (no, they do not have dinner buffet). I really appreciated the waiters great service and recommendations. So I actually took his advice and ordered the Lamb Roganjosh, regular naan, sample appetizers, and my boyfriend got a medium spicy lamb entree. The naan and appetizer was just perfect for the both of us. The portion of the entree was perfect, the lamb was very tender and soft.. I couldn't finish mine so I took home the leftovers. The plate of rice between my boyfriend and I weren't enough so we ordered another one. The waiters were very attentive and.. drum roll.. refilled our cups on more than 1 occasion (yayy!). Overall, this was one of my best "let's try a new restaurant" experience.. EVER. I will be coming back for sure.
(5)Elizabeth J.
I lurve me some Indian buffets, and this is a great one. For $10 they have a great variety of vegetarian and meaty dishes, including many of the standards (chana masala, saag, tandoori chicken, but what surprised me was the chicken noodle soup. I stuck to the vegetarian, gluten-free options, of which there were plenty and really enjoyed them all. To be fair, I typically just grab some rice and mash everything together in the same bowl, so it's hard to say what is special about each dish. My mom really enjoyed the chicken and the tiny syrup, doughnut things...(I didn't try one). I was even allowed to pay for the buffet and then fill up a container of food to take home for my husband. He got a bit of everything, including the desserts and was quite happy with it. There wasn't anything special about the dishes, but they were good, hearty Indian food with pleasant service and a comfortable, casual atmosphere.

Amazingly good! Great amounts and incredibly friendly staff who will put up with dumb questions :) Took my wife and 2 kids tonight and everyone had a great time. Will go again as soon as I can.
(5)Shweta R.
Loved the chicken Biryani at this place. Very courteous staff and good ambiance. Not just quality, the Quantity is good too. Chicken Biryani will easily serve two people. (moderate eating) sorry i don't have a photo. It was so good i forgot about taking a pic ;) Aloo Paratha was a little oily for my liking but it tasted good. I'll stick to roti next time. They gave us complimentary vegetable pakora. Overall, I'm happy we found this restaurant. Thank you Yelp for suggesting this place!
(4)Jenn G.
This is my favorite Indian food place in the entire area. My friends and I love coming here to treat ourselves with the buffet. Great price, everything tastes amazing, and I can drink myself into a coma in hot chai tea. Absolutely flavor heaven. My favorite is the Chicken Masala (putting it on some naan) and all of the fried appetizers with the display of sauces. GAWD. I just can't love this place enough, I get cravings JUST for this location. If you need spice, just ask! They'll bring you out some spicy chili for you to add to your food.
(5)Athena B.
Since my last review, I have been there several times. It is my absolute favorite restaurant in Glen Burnie. They don't give you a free appetizer and dessert every single time, but they normally give you one or the other! Their waiters still have one of the best customer service skills I've experienced in a restaurant. Everything about this place is amazing. My boyfriend and I ordered take out from there for the first time last night, and we still got a container of free dessert! They are so amazing. I cannot express my love for them enough. :)

I am not an Indian food fan and my husband is, so we decided to try this restaurant because of the great reviews. They did not disappoint! This place was beautiful, clean, and had very friendly and attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious and they even gave our 9 month old a complimentary mango smoothie, which we all devoured. I definitely recommend them!

(5)Anitha R.
(4)Dani S.
I couldn't disagree more with some of these reviews. The food was super salty it lacked the "Indian" spices that I was looking forward to. I've had much better Indian food. Today was my first time here and it will be my last time. I was not impressed at all.
(1)Gary P.
(5)Toni R.
(5)Charlotte M.
(5)Vida O.
(4)Shawn S.
Amazingly good! Great amounts and incredibly friendly staff who will put up with dumb questions :) Took my wife and 2 kids tonight and everyone had a great time. Will go again as soon as I can.

The food is great! Really pleased two times. What gets them over is the service.

Great food. Great service. I love going for the buffet because everything is wonderful. They sincerely want feedback so they can be the best they can be. I'm so glad we discovered them.

Still fantastic after returning for more delicious Indian cuisine months after my first visit. I make it a practice to try as many different dishes from this restaurant and they have never failed to wow me. In a way, I am happy they do not deliver as I would be apt to order weekly.

Great food, great people and excellent service. It's an unassuming little restaurant in a strip mall, but well worth your time and effort. A hidden gem for sure.

Enjoy.

Loaded up yelp to find something for lunch. We have been to several Indian restaurants in the Baltimore area. This has easily rocketed to the top of our list as our favorite Indian restaurant. We will definitely be coming back.

Great service and food was really good! it is great because u choose your spice level so everyone can eat it. we like it medium it has just enough kick to make it taste perfect!

DELICIOUS food, EXCELLENT service and a real treat in Glen Burnie. Their food is always fresh and they have a full bar! My kids love this place as do I!!! I look forward to going their at least once a week :)

Phenomenal food and Fantastic service! We eat with them regularly and we are never disappointed! Give them a try ASAP. You won't regret it!

(5)Eugene L.
Best Indian food I've had outside of India. They're not afraid to make for spicy. I highly recommend lamb rogenjosh, get it mild if you want to experience all the wonderful spices.
(5)Linda B.

My boyfriend would eat here every night if I'd let him. I like it as well, the lunch buffet is the way to start. We are working our way through the menu now. The staff is great and always very attentive.

I stopped by for the lunch buffet earlier this week...this place is a little gem! The food was tasty and the staff was very warm and welcoming. I will be back soon!

Great food. The staff will teach you as much or as little as you want concerning the cuisine. I did not have one thing on the buffet that I did not love.
